Namib Sky Community School

Namib Sky Community School is a free Early Childhood Development Centre and lower primary school in Sossusvlei, Namibia. Education is a basic human right, but out in the desert, isolated from towns and cities without public transport, that human right is hard to fulfill.

Namib Sky Community School is focused on providing free, integrated education that includes a well-balanced nutrition plan to previously disadvantaged children of preschool and lower primary.
A well- developed child needs all the above not just in the school but also in the home. For this reason, our work here also extends to the parents of the children attending our school. Parents have access to self-improvement programs that include but are not limited to parenting workshops, health and hygiene education and skill-building through the sewing workshop and computer literacy center.
